I wanted to take a moment to write to you personally.
I grew up between two worlds. In one, across parts of Africa, wellness was not something you bought — it was something you practiced. It lived in rituals passed down quietly, in ingredients our mothers and grandmothers trusted, in the understanding that a woman's body moves through cycles that deserve care, attention, and respect. In the other, in the U.S., I experienced a system built on structure, standards, and science, where validation, safety, and consistency are essential.
For a long time, these two worlds existed separately. Wisdom Water was born from bringing them together.
This didn't start as a business idea. It started with my own body.
Like many women, I struggled with fibroids, a condition that affects up to 70–80% of women by age 50 (NIH). At the time, I was living in Senegal. A friend recommended a fruit. She told me it would make me feel better.
I was skeptical, but willing to try. She went to the market, brought it back, boiled it in water like tea, stored it in the fridge, and told me: this is what you drink now. Simple. No branding. No claims. Just trust.
A few months later, I was fibroid-free. That moment stayed with me.
Today, I navigate a different phase — hot flashes, mood shifts, fatigue, the realities of perimenopause. And once again, I found myself turning to natural ingredients that genuinely helped me feel better. That's when something shifted.
From cramps to menopause to vaginal dryness, women across generations have relied on nature's secrets, passed down quietly from great-grandmothers to grandmothers to mothers. And yet, many of us — myself included — have been conditioned to doubt it. That skepticism is real. It comes from a valid concern: Is it safe? Is it proven? Can I trust it?
That's where science comes in. As I started sharing what worked for me, the question became: how do we bring this to more women, in a way that meets the standards we expect today? If I was going to do this, it had to be done right. So we partnered with food scientists and researchers — people who could take what has been known for generations and validate it, test it, refine it, and make it safe, consistent, and scalable.
That is the foundation of Wisdom Water.
When the idea for Wisdom Water began to take shape, I knew there would be a lot to figure out: the formulation, the product, the logistics, the brand. But there was one thing I was certain of from the very beginning: I didn't want to build this alone.
I've seen what happens when products for women are built without women in the room. And I knew that if this was going to be meaningful, it had to be built differently. So instead of building quietly behind closed doors, I made a decision: to build this with women. To open it early. To invite voices, perspectives, and lived experiences into the process. That's why you're here.
I also want to acknowledge something many of you have shared: that it may feel unclear today what comes first — the water, the community, or the ask to support something you haven't experienced yet. That feeling is valid. Because this is not being built in a traditional order. The community is not separate from the product. It is the foundation of it.
You are part of the first 500 — not as customers, but as builders. Whether you joined the waitlist, became an Insider, or are considering becoming a Founder, you are already shaping what this becomes.
Some of you are here out of curiosity. Some because you've been navigating your own hormonal journey, from cramps to menopause. Some because you've felt that something has been missing. All of those reasons belong here.
There are three parts to what we are building, and they are meant to exist together:
1. The Product
We are developing an innovative water for women, rooted in traditional practices and validated by modern science, designed to support hydration, balance, and overall well-being across the different phases of a woman's life. It is still in development. And your input will shape what it becomes.
2. The Platform
A space to check in, share, learn, and speak more openly about things that are often minimized or kept private: cramps, mood shifts, fatigue, hot flashes, and everything in between. A space that is meant to feel safe, honest, and supportive.
3. The Circle
A group of women who are not waiting for something to be finished, but who are helping build it.
Becoming a Founder is not about buying a product you don't know yet. It is about choosing to be part of bringing it to life.
That said, there is no pressure to take that step now. As an Insider, you can already participate in weekly check-ins, share your experiences, help shape the product direction, and invite others who may benefit from being part of this space.
Over the next few months, you will start to see:
• More visibility into the product development process
• Opportunities to weigh in on taste and packaging
• Deeper conversations around women's health and hormonal balance
• The first versions of the product coming to life

This project is deeply personal to me. It comes from years of observing, experiencing, and questioning why so much of what exists doesn't fully reflect what women actually need — at different stages of life, in different rhythms, in different realities.
Wisdom Water is one step toward changing that. But more importantly, it's an attempt to change how things like this get built. If you feel like you want to be more involved, in any way — reach out.
Thank you for being here, early, with intention. This only works if we build it together.
